Introduction
Better than email or cloud platforms: how Cooperlink simplifies collaboration on construction sites
For years, email was the only link between construction companies — an unstructured tool, impossible to centralize, that quickly reaches its limits on complex projects.
Cloud platforms tried to fill the gap, but they remain disconnected from companies' internal tools and are often imposed by other stakeholders. The industry needed a purpose-built alternative.
That's how Cooperlink was born, with a clear ambition: to become the backbone of construction project management, finally connecting companies with each other.
Connecting construction companies
Companies in the sector rely on a multitude of digital tools — ERPs, CRMs, document management systems — but these remain entirely disconnected. Cooperlink's unique approach? Connecting these tools with each other, and connecting the companies themselves. Not disrupting existing workflows, but making them smoother.
Adopting a new digital tool is never easy. Site teams have their working methods, and changing them takes effort. That's why Cooperlink prioritizes co-construction: gathering field feedback, integrating it, and adapting the tool to real user behaviors. A collaborative approach that makes all the difference in adoption.
The Relais Grand Poste project: a real-world experience
The Relais Grand Poste building in Liège is a perfect illustration. A remarkable project featuring a rare architectural concrete facade, led by BPC — a company deeply committed to digital innovation. With a dedicated digitalization director and a team of Digital Rangers tasked with testing market solutions, BPC represents a new generation of construction players who co-create their tools alongside their technology partners.
On this project, Cooperlink's interface proved intuitive and familiar. Users access a centralized dashboard via web or mobile, displaying all tasks across their projects.
The folder structure mirrors SharePoint, so teams feel right at home. Cooperlink connects BPC's SharePoint and their client's, delivering a seamless user experience while adding construction-specific features.
Everyone can upload technical sheets, receive architect's drawings and track their progress. Every document observation is logged: approved, rejected, commented — enabling truly collaborative design. The end goal: validate documents with all stakeholders and deliver a quality as-built file.
Democratizing access to the BIM model
Cooperlink goes further with a research project conducted in partnership with the University of Liège: democratizing access to the BIM model, still too complex to use on site. The innovation simplifies the model, enriches it, and allows document management files to be directly linked to BIM objects without extra effort. Preserving working habits while improving overall data quality.
Measurable benefits at every level
The gains are tangible. Time saved on document tracking, up-to-date information available to all. The site engineer has current data at hand. The site manager always works from the latest plan versions. The project director reviews reports confirming that progress stays on schedule.
In a sector where BIM, data management and administrative automation are becoming essential, companies must start preparing today. Digital transformation in construction is no longer optional — it's a strategic necessity to stay competitive and deliver quality projects.
